Month: February 2017
Looks like we’re back
Looks like school is on so hope to see JrJazz at 6:45. check district site @ 6:30 for updates if concerned
No school – February 9, 2017
The district has cancelled school today due to the weather. https://www.sd35.bc.ca/alerts/all-langley-district-facilities-closed-thursday-february-9/
No Senior Jazz Feb 9
The district won’t be updating school status until 6:30am, but considering that DriveBC has issued a travel advisory for Hope through Langley http://www.drivebc.ca/mobile/pub/events/id/RTMC_12538.html (and the trees in my front yard are caked with ice) I’m going to cancel Senior Jazz for this morning. Please check the district website (http://www.sd35.bc.ca) for updates regarding the rest of classes for the day.
No Senior Wind Ensemble for Wednesday, Feb 8
Dear Senior Wind Ensemble Families,
Considering the condition of side-streets in my own part of the community and I’m sure around the rest of the catchment, I will be cancelling Senior Wind Ensemble tomorrow morning to give all the kids some extra time to find their way to school safely tomorrow. Though it looks like we have school tomorrow, please visit the school district website at http://www.sd35.bc.ca tomorrow morning for the most current information regarding the rest of the day. Enjoy the sleep-in and drive safe tomorrow morning.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to email me.
Mark
PS – I hope to run Senior Jazz Band on Thursday and Junior Jazz Band on Friday but I will let everyone know one way or the other tomorrow dependant upon the weather, the driving conditions and any direction from the district.
Feb 6 – Snow Day
There will be no off timetable music lessons tomorrow as the district has cancelled school for students and teachers due to snow. Please check the SD35 website for details and further updates.
